Yellow Tecoma (Tecoma Stans):
It is an evergreen shrub native to the tropical regions of Central America, the West Indies, the Andes, and South America. It has spread to hot regions up to 900 m above sea level. Its height ranges from 2 m to 4 m.
The flowers are large, tubular, yellow, found in dense, large terminal clusters (inflorescences) and appear in spring and autumn. The fruit is a long capsule (pod) up to 12 cm long that opens when the seeds mature. The leaves are light green with serrated edges. It is planted for the beauty of its flowers.
It is drought-tolerant and thrives in loose soil, evergreen, and its flowers last up to eight months. Its growth is fast and its branches are upright, making it suitable as a standalone shrub for decorating streets, gardens, and corners. It is resistant to sea breezes, so it can be utilized and planted near beaches. It is prunable and shapable.
