A rare illustrated collection of this engaging novel, which revolves around adventure and revenge from the 19th century, where the fate of Edmond Dantès, the young sailor unjustly imprisoned in the Château d'If, becomes the stage for a radical transformation and a relentless pursuit of justice. This Spanish translation, widespread in the Spanish-speaking world, contributes to the global spread of the legend of Monte Cristo, a romantic character par excellence, who combines the qualities of a vengeful angel, a Stoic philosopher, and a phantom of social progress. The novel consists of two volumes with a total of 2485 pages and is in Spanish. Good condition for binding, the two volumes are partially covered in their original black leather with some damage to the cover, signs of use, rounded corners, worn edges, a smooth decorated cover, and gilded titles and volume numbers. Good internal condition, slight stains, scattered yellowing, some pages loose or with small tears, works adorned with beautiful engravings outside the text, including the front cover, marbled endpapers.
