The success story of King «Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Al Saud» in establishing the Third Saudi State is considered a role model in will and determination; although his father lost his kingdom and was exiled to Kuwait, he was able to establish a great state after wars that lasted thirty-one years. The adventurous prince set out with a force of sixty men in 1901 AD, and was able to seize several provinces in Najd, then he seized Al-Qassim in 1905 AD, and continued his efforts, fighting several battles with «Sharif Hussein» in Hijaz, and entering into a conflict with Yemen, and finally he was proclaimed King of Hijaz and Najd. Thus, the land of Hijaz was united once again after more than thirteen hundred years.
The book includes the modern history of Najd and a biography of Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Faisal Al Saud, King of Hijaz, Najd, and its dependencies.
And Ameen Rihani says that the most important sources for his narratives in those writings are Najdi scholars like Ibn Bishr, Ibn Ghannam, and Ibn Taymiyyah, who are pillars in the modern history of Najd. Sultan Abdulaziz, nicknamed the geography of the Arab countries, and Sheikh Abdullah Al Bassam, who was said to be one of the meticulous diviners, are his references in narrating the journey of Abdulaziz Al Faisal Al Saud. There is another reference for the author Ameen Rihani, which is his first Arab journey, and his second journey to Hijaz, during which he received news from its highest sources, and received from those with knowledge who told him what proves or completes the royal narrative, until Sultan Abdulaziz, when narrating his biography to the author Ameen Rihani, was brief in his speech regarding his personality.
