The Abbasid era is a great part of the history of Muslims, starting from 132 AH to 656 AH. The Abbasid dynasty remained after that with the name of the Caliphate in Egypt until 923 AH. The emergence of this state caused a great upheaval in the whole world, and sciences flourished widely in it, which rightly made its era the "Golden Age of Islam." Prominent men emerged from ancient houses of glory and self-made men who competed to overcome the Islamic regions. How many states were established under the banner of this Caliphate, and their civilization grew, then ended with their subjugation by others. Great events passed over this state. The field was not free for them either from the rivalry of their cousins, the Alawites, or other emerging states such as the Idrisids in the Far Maghreb, the Fatimids in Egypt, or their neighbors, the Romans.
This book explains the political situation of the Abbasids from the beginning of their caliphate at the hands of their callers in Khurasan and Iraq to its end at the hands of Hulagu Khan the Mongol.
