This giant vase with its navy blue color is produced by the Glass Artifacts Factory in Dammam. It is a testament to a Saudi industry that has disappeared and fallen from memory 🥺
The factory was established in 1979 and closed in 1981. The reason was the change in tastes and the invasion of the markets with cheap East Asian artifacts.
This information is perhaps known only to us, and if we hadn't found these artifacts, they might have been lost to history.
However, credit must be given where it is due. If it weren't for God, then an elderly worker who worked for my grandfather, may God have mercy on him, we would never have known about this industry.
Clarification:
In our account, we do not fabricate stories to promote merchandise, but rather:
Our love for what we sell 💝 and our respect for our customers 💞 compel us to be credible.
We have named this vase: The Lost Heritage.
A giant, exquisitely beautiful artifact. The photos clearly show the craftsmanship that rivaled the finest international factories of that era.
Intricate, prominent work showing the clear wrapping of the glass vine - the branch - and the protruding rose, reflecting artistic work in shaping hot glass.
The transparency of the navy blue color and its gradation at the dark, wavy edges give the vase a visual depth, all with the thickness of the glass and the durability of the upper edges, indicating that great effort was made to produce this piece.
This flawless artifact was stored in its carton and preserved with newspapers from that era.
No change in colors, uniform color throughout the piece, no cracks or chips.
Note:
There is a manufacturing mark we call 'glass not fully fused' and not a void. It has been photographed and circled. It does not affect the appearance, color, or integrity at all and is considered normal due to the size of the piece and the amount of glass used. It is also present on the back wall of the vase, not on the front.
