Historical and informational details for those interested: • Currency unit: "Palestinian Mil" (Mil), where one Palestinian Pound was divided into 1000 Mils. • Issue era: These coins were issued by the "Palestine Currency Board" during the British Mandate period. They officially entered circulation in 1927 AD (the date of the first issue for most of the displayed pieces) and continued to be circulated until the end of the Mandate in 1948 AD. • Design: The coins are characterized by their ancient design, featuring an engraving of an olive branch and olive leaves (a symbol of the blessed land of Palestine). They are inscribed with the name "Palestine," the denomination, and the minting date in three languages (Arabic, English, and Hebrew), as was the administrative system followed in that era.
