Written in a clear and legible script on thick paper, the text is arranged in elegant lines with red and colored markings, and scattered decorative circles indicating verse dividers. The inner pages of this manuscript confirm it is a handwritten Quran, as the script style is written in the Sudanese script (a bold form of Maghrebi script), characterized by thick and clear letters. The colored grid patterns and circular decorations (roses) are classic examples of West African bookmaking art. These designs are often used to divide chapters and verses.
