They are characterized by their high ability to adapt to hot and dry climates. * Distribution: These sheep are widely distributed in the Horn of Africa countries and are raised and sold in large quantities in the markets of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. * Note: There is another different type called the Barbary sheep (or Aoudad), which is a wild animal living in the mountains of North Africa, while the commercial sheep known in the markets are the Somali Barbari. ______________________
