The consequence of taking debt with the intention of not repaying it: The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Whoever takes people's money wanting to repay it, Allah will repay it on his behalf, and whoever takes it wanting to destroy it, Allah will destroy him." (Narrated by Bukhari). This act has also been strongly warned against in the Holy Quran, where Allah Almighty says: {And do not consume one another's wealth unjustly or send it [in bribery] to the rulers, so you might consume a portion of the wealth of people, sinfully, while you know} [Al-Baqarah: 188]
