Stage 1: Sediment Filter (P.P - Polypropylene)
Location: The right or left filter (depending on the water inlet and outlet direction indicated on the head, usually starting from right to left or vice versa).
Function: A cotton filter (polypropylene) that traps large suspended impurities in the water such as:
Sand and dirt.
Rust from pipes.
Visible fibers and dirt.
Importance: Protects subsequent stages from rapid clogging and maintains the cleanliness of tanks and internal pipes of the house.
2. Stage 2: Granular Activated Carbon Filter (CTO - Carbon Block)
Location: The middle cylinder.
Function: A compressed solid carbon filter that chemically and physically treats water to purify:
Chlorine and dissolved chemicals.
Bad odors and gases.
Significantly improves the taste and color of the water.
3. Stage 3: Additional Sediment Filter (P.P) or Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)
In the picture: The third cylinder also shows the P.P mark.
Function: In this configuration, it acts as a final confirmation stage to ensure the capture of any very fine residues of dirt or impurities that may have passed through the previous stages, to ensure the flow of ultra-pure water free of suspended solids to the home network.
Additional Features Visible in the Design
Pressure Gauges: The system has two pressure gauges (one at the inlet and the other at the outlet). Their benefit is to monitor the "pressure difference"; if the pressure drops significantly in the second gauge compared to the first, this is a clear indicator that the filters are full of impurities and it's time to replace them.
Air Bleed Buttons (Red Heads): Small buttons above each stage to release trapped air inside the cylinders after changing the filters to ensure smooth water flow.
Floor Iron Stand: The structure comes with a strong stand that fixes the system directly to the ground without needing to hang it on the wall, which facilitates maintenance.
