BMW 520 Coupe Rims, Size 20
Coupe Rims, Forged rims, not cast.
The difference is explained below the ad.
Rims in the style of Al-Naghi's import, suitable for Korean import cars.
The rims are new, I ordered them from China intending to install them, but I decided to sell the car.
They just arrived today in their boxes, unopened.
Here is a breakdown of the main differences between them:
1. Manufacturing Method
Cast Rims: Made by melting aluminum and pouring it into a custom mold.
Forged Rims: Made by pressing a solid block of aluminum under immense mechanical pressure and high heat.
2. Weight
Cast Rims: Generally heavier due to the high density of the metal within the mold.
Forged Rims: Much lighter (up to 25% lighter compared to cast), which improves the car's acceleration and stability.
3. Hardness and Durability
Cast Rims: Very suitable for normal daily driving, but they can be prone to breaking or denting if exposed to a very deep pothole or a strong impact.
Forged Rims: The metal structure is extremely cohesive thanks to the immense pressure, making them much stronger and more resistant to bending or breaking in harsh driving conditions.
4. Cost
Cast Rims: Economical and affordable, they come as standard (OEM) with most cars.
Forged Rims: Very expensive due to the complexity and cost of the manufacturing process.
