It has been observed recently that fake job advertisements are spreading, especially those called "remote work," where the advertiser asks the job applicant to provide their bank account details or use their account to receive and transfer money in exchange for a commission or monthly salary.
Beware of these methods, as they may be part of fraud, scams, or money laundering operations. The victim's account is used as a cover to receive funds that have been seized from other individuals through illegal means.
After transferring the money, the scammer disappears, while the account holder is surprised to find themselves under investigation by the authorities, as the financial transactions were made through their personal account.
Therefore, we emphasize the following:
• Do not give your bank account details to any unknown entity.
• Do not agree to receive or transfer money for others in exchange for a commission or salary.
• Do not be deceived by job advertisements that do not require qualifications or real work and offer easy and quick profits.
• Ensure the legitimacy of the employing entity and that it has a documented headquarters and communication channels.
• Report any suspicious advertisement or account to protect others.
Contribute to spreading this warning as widely as possible on WhatsApp groups and social media. A word of awareness may help protect someone from falling victim to fraud or unknowingly getting involved in financial crimes.
May God protect everyone from scammers
