Let's talk about travel books. The truth is that travel books describe a literary genre that has long been subject to disdain and contempt. The common opinion among people is that travel readings should be light in weight and heavy in triviality, meaning those books that are considered a waste of time. But I never understood that!
There is no doubt that what they call "entertainment literature" is the most boring type of literature on Earth. But regardless of that, I don't understand how a reader would give up their reading habits, especially on a sea voyage of such importance and seriousness, and lower their taste to reading shallow books!
