The novel took me into the depths of ancient history, and I imagine that this wonderful work should be adapted into a television series in the near future... The novel also contains brilliant historical information. For the first time, we learn about the last wars of Granada with such accuracy and description. The novel also transported us to the Islamic world at that time, and we saw the Ottoman Turks, the Mamluks in Egypt, and the Banu Yamrasen in Tlemcen, and their stance towards the events. For a more precise opinion, I will list the most important strengths of the novel as well as its weaknesses. First: The transitions between scenes were magnificent. Second: The author used an easy Arabic language suitable for that era. Third: The novel depicted the geography of Granada and the history of its final days as it was and as it happened.
