Parts & Accessories Rounds
For sale: original (factory) steel rims in clean condition.
Specifications: 15-inch size, 5 width.
Fits economical cars (4 bolts) like Toyota Yaris, Hyundai Accent, Kia Rio, and others.
Condition: The rims are original, not aftermarket, intact, and ready for use.
The difference between aftermarket and original, and I hope you focus on the points for importance, to benefit those who don't know and as a reminder for experienced people:
1. Metal Quality
Factory: Made from heat-treated steel alloys to ensure maximum hardness with sufficient flexibility to absorb shocks (like potholes and bumps) without cracking or breaking.
Aftermarket: Often made from recycled or improperly chemically treated steel, making it either "brittle" and breaks on impact, or "too soft" leading to the rim easily deforming with the slightest bump.
2. Manufacturing Precision
Factory: Bolt holes are extremely precise to the millimeter. This means the rim fits the hub smoothly, preventing "wobble" while driving.
Aftermarket: There is often a slight tolerance in measurements. Even if the rim fits, it might not be perfectly centered, causing an annoying wobble that even tire balancing cannot fix, and it also leads to uneven wear of the car's tires.
3. Rust and Paint Resistance
Factory: Original rims undergo electrostatic painting processes that protect them from rust for many years.
Aftermarket: Painted with regular, quick-to-fade paint. Once scratched, rust quickly seeps into the metal, weakening the rim's structure over time.
4. Safety Tests
Factory: Undergoes rigorous tests to ensure its ability to withstand the car's weight, high speeds, and heat generated by brake friction.
Aftermarket: Lacks these standards, and in the worst case, the rim may be damaged or suddenly "explode" under pressure.
