Not every losing project has to continue.
Sometimes the right decision isn't to endure the loss... the right decision is to stop it.
If your restaurant is losing money every month and you're borrowing to cover rent, salaries, and expenses, ask yourself a few questions:
1. What has changed to expect the restaurant to do well next month?
2. Have you made a new operational or marketing plan?
3. Do you know the real reason for the loss, or are you still guessing?
4. Have you consulted a specialist to help you identify the problem and provide solutions?
5. Do you still have enough capital to implement a real recovery plan?
6. Have you learned from the mistakes of the past period, or will you repeat what happened?
If your answer to most of these questions is no, then you must stop and reconsider your decision.
Sometimes the best solution for a losing project is to sell it or close it before the loss grows.
Remember that a continuously losing restaurant is like a ticking time bomb... the longer you delay the decision, the bigger the loss will be.
