Description
True to its name and prestigious status, the striking dial design combines practicality with a simplified lesson in geography; legibility in the dark is enhanced by a triangular luminous background behind the four hour markers, while the linear (stick-shaped) hour markers feature a strip of luminous material. Furthermore, the center of the dial bears an engraving identifying the Polynesian coral island of Raroia, where the legendary KonTiki expedition concluded its journey in 1947. Underscoring the exceptional robustness of the case, the watch offers water resistance up to 200 meters thanks to a screw-down case back and crown.
