Chevrolet Impala LT 2017
Automatic
Gasoline
mileage: 261 KM
The car is full option, Gulf specs, imported from Qatar, with 260,000 kilometers. Black color.
The engine and gearbox have never been opened. The engine has a minor oil leak from the seals, causing it to lose about a liter and a quarter every 4,000 kilometers. I didn't want to open the engine to fix it, as it would cost around 1900 ريال for labor and all original parts (for a full engine and gearbox replacement, not just the engine). The engine-only replacement would be cheaper.
Parts replaced during maintenance this year (all original):
- Alternator
- Belt tensioner
- Belt
- 6 original injectors (cost 1600 ريال)
- Rear fuel pump
- Fuel rails with fuel lines
- Full gearbox oil change with flushing machine and Lucas treatment 40,000 kilometers ago
- American 30,000 BTU transmission cooler installed, with the original cooler bypassed
- Radiator flushed and replaced with original Preston coolant
- Original GM spark plugs
- Intake manifold and valve cover gaskets
- Original engine and cabin air filters
- Original oil breather valves (a manufacturing defect in the rear valve on the Impala, which was replaced)
- Motorad sports thermostat that opens at 71°C. The temperature does not exceed 83°C in traffic, and a picture is available.
- Fan programming and gearbox programming with oil change (smoother gear shifts)
- Original front shock absorbers with their mounts
- Original front brake discs
- 4 JEX ceramic brake pads (better than original, based on my experience and others'), with machining of all 4 brake discs
- Coolant hoses with their elbows
- 4 original engine and gearbox mounts (cost 1600 ريال)
- Water pump with gasket
- Cleaned all 5 oxygen sensors (4 exhaust, 1 intake)
- Cleaned throttle body, intake manifold, catalytic converters, and engine valves from carbon buildup
- Oil additives are used every 3 oil changes
- Cleaned camshaft, knock, and crankshaft sensors
- Replaced two exhaust sensors (one was faulty, the other replaced as a precaution because it's linked to the faulty one)
- Purchased an original front grille, kept in the trunk
- Original left front CV axle with its seal (it was fine, but I noticed a slight leak from the seal, so I replaced both)
- Left sway bar link
- 4 wheel hubs, one American and the rest original (the rear ones were making a whining noise, so I replaced them all)
- Replaced refrigerant with compressor oil and cleaned AC sensors and fans. Cooling is excellent.
- Replaced EVAP (evaporative emission control system) purge valve
- Replaced original intake manifold hoses
- Replaced front fender liners, which were worn out with age (likely aftermarket but fabric like the original)
- The steering rack was disassembled, greased, and its internal belt was replaced. It's smooth and light.
In summary, the car's maintenance and mechanics are excellent. It has been fully serviced in terms of tune-up and other aspects. It gives 600 to 700 kilometers per full tank in the city.
The acceleration is good, and the car is light, ماشاء الله.
Notes:
- The body has some paint and bodywork, and has had accidents.
- Only the side airbags have deployed.
- Engine oil seal leak issue.
- Inspection and registration are expired and require polishing and a left taillight to pass inspection.
- Hood strut costs 100 ريال (original).
- The left rear control arm has a slight dent, but it doesn't affect alignment or cameras, and it doesn't make noise. Mentioned for honesty.
- The left rear brake pad makes noise because it's not seated properly, and I haven't had time to fix it.
- The front windshield has been replaced along with its seal. The insulation is excellent, with no wind noise or other sounds.
- The driver's seat armrest needs reupholstering or replacement.
- The passenger side air vent is stuck. It costs 30 ريال at a decoration shop to fix it; it's just a clip that needs to be secured.
- The car's catalytic converters have been removed and programmed for fuel efficiency (only the catalytic converter protection system
