Fath al-Qadir, the Comprehensive Collection of the Arts of Narration and Understanding in the Science of Tafsir - Author: Muhammad ibn Ali al-Shawkani - Al-Shawkani's Tafsir, Fath al-Qadir (1173 - 1250 AH) is considered a fundamental source and reference for Tafsir, as it combines narration-based Tafsir with understanding-based Tafsir. Its author excelled in the narration aspect and elaborated on the understanding aspect. He began compiling it in the month of Rabi' al-Akhir in the year 1223 AH.
