Shadow teacher's tasks within the school include: Helping the student understand instructions and complete academic tasks. Supporting attention and focus and reducing distractions during class. Training the student for independence instead of complete reliance on her. Supporting communication and language and encouraging the student to express their needs. Developing social skills such as sharing, waiting, and forming relationships with peers. Assisting in behavior modification using appropriate and positive methods. Facilitating the student's integration into the classroom and participation in school activities. Organizing time, transitioning between activities, and adhering to the school routine. Monitoring the student's level, recording observations, and communicating with the family and the specialized team. Supporting safety within the school while considering the student's individual needs. Primary goal: The shadow teacher should help the student learn, integrate, and increase their independence, and is not a substitute for the classroom teacher.
