Very prominent and intense Repoussé work.
* Many colored stones: red, turquoise/blue, green, yellow, and orange.
* There is a square element resembling a seal or a symbolic plaque in the middle of the side, which is very important for identifying the origin of the piece.
* The way the stones and decorations are distributed is close to Nepalese/Tibetan silver boxes decorated with coral and turquoise. There are Nepalese examples from the late 19th and early 20th centuries described as silver boxes inlaid with multiple stones. This is the age I am leaning towards now
If I were forced to give you an estimate from the pictures alone:
Approximately 1900–1950.
I keep the possibility of the late 19th century open, but I don't have enough evidence to raise it to 1890 or earlier.
