A rare silver Abbasid dirham of the Abbasid Caliph Abu Ja'far al-Mansur, who was the second Caliph of the Abbasid Caliphate. It was struck in the city of Ray in the year 147 AH. Ray is currently the city of Tehran. The year 147 AH was the first year Abbasid dirhams were minted in Ray, as there are only two years, 147 and 148 AH, in which dirhams were minted under the name of Ray, before the city's name changed in 148 AH to Asam al-Muhammadiyah. Minting continued under the name al-Muhammadiyah for a long period, and the name Ray was permanently abolished. A distinctive and rare dirham, authenticated by the Islamic Dinar Museum in Mecca. This dirham is distinguished by the inscription in the center on the reverse side of the Crown Prince Muhammad al-Mahdi's name, before he became Caliph. It is inscribed: 'What was ordered by al-Mahdi Muhammad, son of the Commander of the Faithful.' Excellent condition, uncleaned, still with the dust of the earth and time. Selling for a fixed price of 600 riyals only, noting that the certificate's value is one-third of the amount. Location: Al-Khobar, Al-Aziziyah, Al-Sawaree district. Delivery is available to all cities and regions of the Kingdom via shipping companies. May God grant success to all.
