Crushing and Shaving Ice Adding Ice: Open the top transparent lid of the ice shaving unit. Place regular (standard size) ice cubes inside the container. Be careful not to overfill it so that the lid closes easily and without force. Tip for Fine Ice: For very fine ice resembling polar frost, it is preferable to leave the ice cubes out of the freezer for a few minutes until they become slightly moist and transparent, rather than being very hard and covered with a dry white layer. Operation: Close the transparent lid tightly (the machine has a safety system that prevents the blades from rotating unless the lid is completely closed). Turn the power switch to the ON position. The stainless steel blades will immediately start crushing the ice into fine flakes that accumulate in the lower glass compartment. Once enough ice is crushed, turn off the machine (OFF). Open the front glass door and use the attached metal scoop to collect the crushed ice and fill the cups. Gently press the ice inside the cup to form a beautiful spherical dome on the surface. Slowly pour your favorite concentrated flavor syrup (such as strawberry, blueberry, or lemon) over the ice to allow the flavor to penetrate to the bottom.
