We are looking for a Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Officer.
About the Company
A Saudi company based in Dammam, specializing in trucking for drilling companies (Rigs) and international companies operating in the Kingdom, with safety as its top priority.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Prepare truck route plans, monitor driver adherence, and track the fleet via GPS.
• Monitor driving behavior through the IVMS system (speeding, sudden braking, etc.) and take necessary actions with non-compliant drivers.
• Grant final authorization for any truck movement after verifying its readiness and compliance with all standards.
• Ensure compliance with the requirements of drilling companies and international companies, and obtain and renew driver certifications on time.
• Follow up on equipment inspections, chain certifications, and lashing tools, and prepare documents for client and official inspections.
• Train drivers on off-road driving, safe loading, and load securing.
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal/official documents, and submit monthly safety performance reports to management.
• Investigate incidents, analyze their root causes, and prepare risk assessments for high-risk journeys.
Requirements
• Full practical experience with IVMS and GPS tracking systems.
• Thorough knowledge of drilling company documentation (equipment inspection, chain certifications, driver certifications).
• Proven experience in obtaining driver certifications and training them in desert driving, loading, and securing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety within the heavy transport or oil and gas sector.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certifications.
