By: Alaa Abu Anas After more than twenty years of work, I realized that the most beautiful thing experience gives its owner is not knowing everything, but the ability to employ what they have learned in integration with the experiences of others, so that knowledge becomes broader and benefit greater. Years grant us experience, situations teach us, and life broadens our horizons, but working with specialists from different fields opens horizons for experience that it might not have reached alone. This is what makes me welcome my new phase with Rakayez Company for Waqf Management and Development with optimism and gratitude, after I had the honor of joining a multidisciplinary team whose members share a passion for serving and developing endowments. Waqf is Bigger Than One Specialty Waqf is not just an asset and a document, and its journey does not end at establishment and registration. Behind every endowment are legal, regulatory, administrative, and financial aspects that integrate to serve its purpose, preserve its assets, and enhance its benefits. Hence, the work varies between organizing asset data, following up on contracts, revenues, and maintenance, operations, preparing reports, supporting official procedures, developing governance, organizing the affairs of trusteeship, and studying asset development opportunities. Each task has its limits and authorities, and what it may require from specialists and licensed entities. When the Scope of Work Expands Waqf needs are not limited to one type of entity. Charitable societies, institutions, and non-profit companies may need support in studying their waqf needs, organizing their assets, and developing their projects to serve their mission and sustain their resources. Family and descendant endowments have their own specifics regarding beneficiaries, beneficiaries, trusteeship, and the organization of their affairs. Family funds also have organizational needs that may require study and coordination with relevant authorities and specialists regarding the requirements for their establishment in accordance with the relevant regulations. In these areas, the value of integrating expertise emerges, as each specialty adds a perspective to understanding and helps build a clearer picture before making a decision. What I Bring to Rakayez I enter this phase with the accumulation of years of experiences and situations, and with the same desire to learn, develop, and benefit from the experiences of my colleagues. The new phase does not negate previous experiences; rather, it grants them a broader scope when integrated with the experiences and specializations of others. I believe that a person's professional value is not measured only by what they can accomplish alone, but also by what they can contribute when working with others. Therefore, I see my joining Rakayez as an extension of a previous journey and the beginning of a broader space for joint work where experiences are integrated and opportunities for giving and impact are renewed. I ask God to bless this step and to grant me and my colleagues success in all that serves endowments, endowers, trustees, beneficiaries, and society. ______________ Specialist in Endowments, Non-profit Sector, Institutional Building, and Project Development.
