For those who want to enter the world of professional photography. Used Sony a290 professional camera, very lightly used, with all its accessories, a bag, and an 18-55 lens. No box or memory card. It comes with a rechargeable lithium battery and is compatible with all Sony α/Minolta lenses with autofocus mount. The APS-C size CCD sensor (23.5 mm × 15.7 mm) has a resolution of 14 megapixels, and the maximum ISO sensitivity reaches 3200. However, images start to get noisy at ISO 800, while severe noise appears at ISO 1600 and 3200. The Sony α290 features a BIONZ image processor and can capture approximately 2.5 frames per second. The Sony α290 includes a creative mode, preset color settings, BRAVIA Sync technology with a built-in HDMI port, and dust-resistant technology. The dust-resistant technology in the Sony α290 relies on an electrostatic charge protection layer on the low-pass filter and an image sensor-shift mechanism. The α290 also features Sony's SteadyShot INSIDE for in-camera image stabilization. [ 1 ] The Sony α290 camera uses a rechargeable Sony NP-FH50 battery and can capture about 500 shots on a full charge (according to Sony). The Sony α290 camera lens features a 95% field of view and 0.83x magnification (with a 50mm lens focused at infinity), which is undoubtedly better than its sibling, the Sony α390 camera, which is almost identical except for its larger tilting screen and live preview feature. One of the drawbacks of the Sony α290 camera is its proprietary external flash mounting base. However, like other Sony Alpha digital SLR cameras, the Sony α290 is equipped with an iISO flash mounting base. [ 2 ] Sony officially announced the launch of the α290 camera as the successor to the Sony α230, with many features returning. It also includes a new "Assistance" system to help new users. Like the α230, the α290 supports Memory Stick PRO Duo or SD/SDHC memory cards. The camera weighs approximately 456 grams (16.1 ounces) without the battery, memory card, lens, and other accessories. Its approximate dimensions are 128 mm × 97 mm × 86 mm (width/height/depth). The Sony α290 camera has a standard USB 2.0 port as well as a mini HDMI port. The camera sends a preview image to the HDMI output immediately after taking the picture, without needing to switch to playback mode for preview. The α290 camera's flash is a standard pop-up flash, and it takes about 4 seconds to recharge. The flash mount, like most other Sony Alpha cameras, is equipped with its proprietary iISO technology. [ 2 ] The Sony α290 camera can work with an infrared remote control and a wired remote control. The remote control is sold separately and is activated through the drive mode menu by selecting "Remote Control". The Sony α290 camera can be powered by an AC power adapter, model AC-PW10AM.
